Atrocious weather has forced the cancellation of one of
Cornwall's most popular events for the first time in its 53-year
history.
The West of England Steam Rally was due to take place on August
15, 16 and 17 at its regular showground at St Agnes. However, the
event, which usually attracts crowds of up to 25,000 people, has
been called off because the fields are waterlogged.
Simon Tonkin, chairman of the rally committee, said it was a
tough, but necessary decision.
