The St. George Crystal plant in Jeannette could change hands at a
sheriff's sale next month, and an attorney for a major creditor said
other manufacturers may be interested in restarting production
there.
"We've hired an auctioneer to try to sell the assets together,
the real estate and the personal property" including the glassmaking
equipment, said Christopher P. Schueller, who represents MTGLQ
Investors LP of Randlett, Utah.
The sheriff's sale is set for Sept. 10. "Our hope is that someone
would buy all the assets and resume a business at the site," he
said, adding that two or three manufacturers have expressed
interest. "If we can't find a buyer to do that, then we'll have to
