When Ken Roskos of Eighty Four tunes in to watch coverage of next
month's Olympic Games in Beijing, his reaction will be bittersweet.
Of special interest to Roskos will be the table tennis competition,
but he realizes television coverage will be minimal, at best.
"I wish there was more interest in the United States in the
game," Roskos said. "People don't know how exciting the game is to
play, or even watch, and I hope the Olympics help generate some
interest and enthusiasm for the game."
Playing at the South Park Table Tennis Club, Roskos' table tennis
rating is 1900, while the top national or international rating is
2800. He is a fixture on table two and has played numerous matches
