The Exeter-based firm has been responsible for 47 incidents of unlawful water pollution in the last five years - more than any other water company.

According to figures provided by the Environment Agency to the Sunday Times, water companies across the country committed more than 300 water pollution offences in the same period, making them the worst offending sector.
