KMT chairman visits Chinese Taipei delegation in Olympic Village

BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Wu Poh-hsiung, chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) Party, paid a visit to the Chinese Taipei delegation on Saturday in the Beijing Olympic Village, promising to watch a baseball preliminary of the Chinese Taipei team.

Wu arrived at the Olympic Village at around 10 a.m. Saturday, where he was greeted by Mayor of the Village Chen Zhili, also vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee of the 29th Olympic Games.

Deng Yaping, four-time Olympic table tennis champion and spokesperson of the Olympic Village, accompanied Wu to tour the Village before visiting the Chinese Taipei delegation.
