TWO taxi drivers in the north west are recovering after being
assaulted in separate incidents at the weekend.
A Strabane taxi driver was left shocked after being assaulted by
two men.
The incident occurred on Sunday as the driver dropped off a fare
in the town.
Police are investigating and have appealed for information.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "It is understood the driver dropped
off a fare on the Urney Road at approximately 4am when he was forced
to pull over by the occupants of a white van at the Carricklee Road
junction.
"He was assaulted by two men and sustained injuries to his face
and ribs.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time
