During my many years in the army as a warrant officer with the
Adjutant General's Corps, I served in Germany, Northern Ireland,
Bosnia, Belize and the UK. Involved in accountancy, forensic
accounting, training and fraud investigation, I helped set up
procedures to detect and deter internal fraud.
After leaving the army, I gained invaluable commercial experience
as an accountancy practice manager, operations manager and as
general manager for Handle With Care in Exeter. But I missed the
buzz of investigative work.
It was always my intention to run my own business and, after
