Plymouth diver Tonia Couch said she enjoyed every minute of her
Olympic debut in Beijing yesterday.
The 19-year-old competed in the women's 10m platform synchro
event, along with Southampton's Stacie Powell and the pair looked
like they were going to upset the rankings and finish in fourth
place.
They went into the last round in fifth and just two points off
fourth but in a tight final round they were narrowly overtaken by
three pairs to finish last of the eight finalists , just seven
points off fourth.
Yet, although disappointed that she and her partner did not get
the marks they felt they deserved, Couch was very upbeat. "I really
