Article: Junk mail from myself

I sometimes get junk mail from myself.

It comes to an email account I set up about 10 years ago and still keep active - because it's free and long- lost friends sometimes contact me through it.

Unfortunately, I wasn't good at protecting this address from junk mailers and other demons, especially in the early years, and I get a lot of rubbish.

In a recent 10-day period, for example, I received 496 junk emails. Among them were three from myself, all of them touting an Angelina Jolie video.

So, why does my name appear in the sender line? A hacker hasn't gained control of my account.
