PASADENA - Yoko Ono's "Wish Trees for Pasadena" in the One
Colorado courtyard now has 21 trees overflowing with knotted tags
and scribbled wishes.
In a telephone interview Friday from New York City, Ono said her
interactive installation art project - which began nearly three
decades ago and has since been re-created in more than 80 cities -
has received an unusually high number of wishes.
"Pasadena is very important - I feel like I'm there with them.
But I can only come in spirit," Ono said.
At tables set up between the trees, boxes hold dozens of blank
wish tags and pencils.
