Motherhood can bring mixed blessings. On the one hand there's the
emotional high of holding your baby for the first time, while on the
other there is the reality of the changes that being a parent
brings.
You are suddenly responsible for this helpless bundle and your
whole life revolves around making sure your baby is fed, changed and
well.
You spend all day at home. You often have no one to talk to and
you miss your job and colleagues. You suddenly feel out of your
depth and often completely unappreciated.
And, as the sleep deprivation kicks in, it can all get
overwhelming. Your baby won't feed or stop crying and you start to
wonder if you are a bad mother.
