NEARLY 500 jobs are in the pipeline for the region?s engineering
sector, with two companies already setting their sights on creating
bases in the North-East, it was revealed yesterday.
The revelation that two multi-national companies ? Paul Wurth
Group and Costain Oil, Gas and Process ? are considering setting up
operations on Teesside was hailed as a massive endorsement of the
area, as well as being a major potential jobs boost.
Announcing their plans at a Tees Valley Engineering Partnership
(TVEP) event yesterday, international engineering and construction
company Costain said it is contemplating moving into Teesside, in
amove that could generate up to 400 jobs.
