It's possible that Democratic Sen. John Kerry would have lost the
2004 presidential election even without the Swift-boat attack, a
widely disproved effort to criticize his Vietnam War record and
reputation as a hero. But the damage to Kerry's campaign was severe.
Four years later, the head Swift-boater, Jerome R. Corsi, is
back, this time with a screed against Democratic Sen. Barack Obama.
Corsi's new book, The Obama Nation, is in the tradition of Unfit
for Command, his 2004 book about Kerry. They are both full of
untruths small and large. And they both take aim squarely at their
subject's attributes and attempt to twist them into weaknesses,
