BOSCAWEN - Harold Earl Pickard, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Concord Hospital.

He was born March 5, 1927, in Canterbury, the son of Arthur and Jennie (Sargent) Pickard.

He lived in Boscawen for 23 years, previously living in Concord. He was postmaster in Penacook and later in Holderness until retiring.

He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
