Pakistan army kills 462 militants in tribal region during operation: official

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani security force has killed 462 militants in its 10-day long military operation in northwestern Pakistan's tribal region, said a provincial governor on Friday.

But 22 security personnel have also been killed during the operation in Bajaur tribal agency, said Owais Ahmed Ghani, governor of North West Frontier Province (NWFP).
