If you own an extensive collection of World War One and Two
memorabilia, it makes sense to store it in your air raid shelter -
right?
But the decision proved a disaster for one Templepatrick
collector, whose treasured artefacts are now under four feet of
flood water.
Even worse, much of his collection has disappeared, swept away
across the Hilton Hotel Golf Course after the nearby river burst its
banks during Saturday's deluge.
Paddling his way around the submerged golf course, Gary Campbell
managed to retrieve many of his treasures but he fears some may have
found their way into the Sixmilewater River and may even have made
it as far as Lough Neagh. And he is appealing to anyone who ...
