Scott Seabol may live in Pittsburgh and work in Greensboro, but
during baseball season Charleston is his home away from home.
Seabol, an ex-West Virginia University and current Greensboro Bat
player, was "home" on Thursday as the Bats swept a doubleheader from
the floundering Charleston Alley Cats 9-1 and 6-0 before 1,138 fans
at Watt Powell Park.
"Playing here is just like being at home," said Seabol, who was 1-
for-3 with a run scored in the first game. "It's just like
Pittsburgh. The river, the barges and boats, all the mountains and
the cool evenings remind me of Pittsburgh."
Thursday's twinbill sweep was the Bats' second over the Cats in as
many days and extended Charleston's losing ...
