Up to 50 jobs could be lost at a road haulage company after staff
were told the firm is losing too much money.
French-owned company Norbert Dentressangle has put staff at its
Heathfield depot near Newton Abbot, Devon, on a 30-day consultation
period.
The firm employs between 40 and 50 drivers and 10 warehouse
workers. Employees have been waiting for the firm's final decision
on the consultation, which ends in August.
One employee, who did not want to be named, said he feared staff
would be made redundant. "Some drivers have been here for 18 years
and they are absolutely devastated," he added.
