A young Royal Navy recruit from Roborough has completed training
at HMS Raleigh to become the third generation of his family to sign
up for a life at sea.
Trainee Air Engineering Technician (AET) James Kempsell joined
the Royal Navy in May following in the footsteps of his father,
Lieutenant Commander Ian Kempsell, and his grandfather, Lieutenant
Commander Ken Kempsell.
They were among the families and friends at HMS Raleigh to see
the recruits on parade as they marked the successful completion of
their nine weeks basic training course.
A former pupil of Devonport High School for Boys, James said: "I
