A $450,000 mental health pilot programme has been launched in
Nelson with a raft of groups and ethnicities coming together for its
launch.
Nelson Bays Primary Health Organisation chief executive Andrew
Dobbs said the launch of the primary mental health initiative was
held at Whakatu Marae because Maori were highlighted as the least
likely to get help for mental illness in its early stages.
Massey University Maori studies professor Mason Durie was the
guest speaker at yesterday's launch, and Mr Dobbs said he attracted
