Article: Joe Biden: No Change Agent but a Gentleman

Well, Barack Obama has finally flip-flopped on everything he stood for. He's reversed his campaign theme of "Change" to "Inside Washington." Joe Biden, with his 36 years inside Washington, is anything but change. Mr. Biden symbolizes all the things Mr. Obama said he loathed in the primary. By choosing Mr. Biden as his running mate [front page, Aug. 24], Mr. Obama has played directly into the Republicans' emphasis on his lack of experience.

Yes, experience counts, but Mr. Obama did not have the audacity to pick someone with experience who would represent true change as well. If so, perhaps he would have chosen New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson. Mr. Richardson, a former congressman, energy ...
