For the past 20 years, Lou Lovejoy has been serving up some of the
best hot dogs in eastern Kanawha County.
"I guess it's the homemade chili," she said. "And I don't use
chicken weenies or anything cheap. I always said I wouldn't sell
something I wouldn't put on my table at home."
If you haven't tried one of Lovejoy's specialties, you might want
to buy a ticket to a home DuPont High football, basketball or
baseball game this year.
Her hot dogs also are available at DuPont Junior High home
football games.
In any case, you're running out of time.
Lovejoy's culinary treasures could become a casualty of
consolidation.
A longtime DuPont athletic backer, Lovejoy, 59, isn't sure if
she'll continue ...
