WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County -- A 67-year-old motorcyclist
died Monday, Aug. 11, from injuries he suffered when he was
rearended by a semitrailer, according to Capt. Dee Osterfeld of the
Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
The Kettering man's name is not being released until out-of-
state relatives can be notified, she said.
The accident occurred about 11:30 a.m. and he was pronounced dead
at Miami Valley Hospital about 3:30 p.m.
The 53-year-old truck driver, whose name was not released, was
not injured.
Osterfeld said the motorcyclist may have been attempting to turn
into Union Savings Bank, at 5651 Far Hills Ave., as he had a check
in his possession for that bank.
