Plymouth Albion chairman of rugby Graham Dawe admitted his side
had been given a "good workout" in their final pre-season fixture
against Mounts Bay at the Brickfields yesterday.
A day after defeating Neath 13-10 on home soil, Dawe's side
overcame the newly promoted National Two visitors 18-12.
With little to choose between the sides early on, two penalties
from summer signing Kieran Hallett gave Albion a 6-0 lead, before
Bay struck back with a try in first-half stoppage time from Brett
Stroud. The hosts hit back with a converted try from Darren Ritchie
to make it 13-5 at the break.
