A Brink's driver was robbed at gunpoint while delivering cash to
a Shorewood bank Tuesday afternoon, sparking a search for the robber
that included Shorewood and Milwaukee police and the FBI.
The robbery occurred about 2:10 p.m. as the driver walked into
the lobby of a building at 3970 N. Oakland Ave. to deliver money to
a North Shore Bank branch, said Shorewood Police Chief David
Banaszynski.
The robber, who had a black semi-automatic handgun, took a bag of
money from the driver and left on a black motorcycle, Banaszynski
said.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the robbery,
he said.
By about 2:30 p.m., Shorewood and Milwaukee police and the FBI
