Expect a western showdown at Todos Santos Plaza in downtown
Concord tonight as the city again presents its popular August
Pictures at the Plaza.
"We want to end the summer on a fun note," says Florence Weiss,
downtown program manager. "We've actually been doing this (movies in
the plaza) for several years."
But this year it's bigger and better, says Weiss. Each Thursday
for four consecutive weeks -- in addition to the regular farmers
market -- the public is invited to watch a film and hear music
specially chosen to accompany the movie's theme.
"Luckily, living in the Bay Area we have a wonderful selection of
artists," says music series producer Jim Ocean of Creative Musical
Alternatives.
