Article: Coughlin is golden again

BEIJING -- Her golden moment from the 2004 Athens Olympics may be a rather nebulous memory, but chances are this is one Natalie Coughlin may want to keep in permanent focus.

Coughlin, a Concord native, became the first woman to win back- to-back gold medals in the 100-meter backstroke since it became an Olympic event in 1924. It took her 58.96 seconds to slide into the history books Tuesday morning (Beijing time) at the "Water Cube" and pick up her second medal of the Beijing Games, the seventh of her decorated career.
