Glen Campbell Meet Glen Campbell (Capitol) * * * The last time I had reason to contemplate Glen Campbell was on the ill-fated Paul Holmes album and his truly awful cover of Witchita Lineman. Jimmy Webb's song was a cracker and Glen Campbell singing it could reduce a grown man to tears. Campbell at his best was almost peerless among male vocalists but his best was some years ago now and, sadly, bouts of drug abuse and alcohol abuse filled the yawning gap where his music career used to be. Still, Campbell never disappeared entirely and now he's back with this an eclectic collection of covers. Some of his best work was cover songs but this time, Jimmy Webb is
