Article: Commuter headaches abound as Marsh Creek Road slowed by construction, traffic measures

BRENTWOOD -- The newly laid asphalt might have been the smoothest thing about the traffic-calming measures instituted on Marsh Creek Road on Thursday following two fatal crashes in a construction zone.

To reduce speeds on the road, which on certain stretches is covered by a layer of gravel from a resurfacing project, the California Highway Patrol and county public works crews have been shuttling convoys through the area where work is being done.

Motorists can expect delays at the endpoints of the construction zone, which will shift with the progress of the road work.
