One of the most frequently asked questions people get is, "What do you do for work?" After 15 years of being asked this question I am still amazed at the responses I get when I answer. Even today, in a world of "equality," people are shocked, amazed, and sometimes at a loss for words when they hear that I am a landscaper.

If it is acceptable for a woman to weed the garden or plant some flowers on a Saturday, why is it such a shocker to hear that a woman works in the fields for a living?
