As the baseball season nears the end, I have been seeing more and
more "W" flags around town signifying a Cubs win. Like all things,
there needs to be an etiquette to flying the ever-important signal
for our Cubbies' success. I'd like to make a few suggestions.3 All
"W" flags are to be taken down prior to the next game. We cannot
afford to jinx our Cubbies after 100 years of not winning a World
Series.3 When applicable, place a broom next to the flag when a
series sweep occurs --- especially against the Cards or the White
Sox.3 It is absolutely acceptable to hang the flags on porches,
cars, poles, stray dogs, etc., as long as the flags never touch ...
