CINCINNATI -- With a lot of new faces in a standing-room-only
clubhouse, the slumping Pirates snapped a 10-game losing streak with
a 3-2 victory against the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night at Great
American Ball Park.
Brandon Moss and Andy LaRoche hit back-to-back homers for the
Pirates, who welcomed 10 players from Triple-A Indianapolis earlier
in the day as part of the September roster expansion.
Winning pitcher Ian Snell scored the go-ahead run in the third
for the Pirates, who opened a 10-game road trip.
With the score tied at 2-all, Snell, a career .086 hitter, drew a
