A few weeks back, before he made his way to Watkins Glen for the
next stop on what had then been his personal Sprint-sponsored tour
de force, Kyle Busch was asked if the narrowing gap between he and
his Cup Series competition was simply a byproduct of his dominant
start. Or if he'd really come back to the pack a bit.
"Well I haven't won for two weeks, so I'm in a drought now,"
Busch cracked, his answer coated as smoothly in sarcasm as the candy
shell that covered the M and Ms decorating his shirt. "We're sort of
in a cooling off period."
Spoken like he was rolling his eyes behind the huge sunglasses
that blocked them, the answer drew laughs from the assembled pack of
