Blogs, MP3 downloads, Internet social networking pages and other cybertools will play an instrumental part in the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra's 2008-09 season.

Alfred Savia, the orchestra's music director, plans to blog about it all at www.maestrochat.blogspot.com, a new Web log he just put up last week.

Beyond that, the orchestra is promoting its Season of Love, the first of a two-season lineup featuring performances of every symphony Ludwig van Beethoven ever composed, on its Web site at www.evansvillephilharmonic.org.

Staff members also have established a Facebook account for the philharmonic. And plans are under way to provide free MP3 downloads of digital recordings of the ...
