Labor Day traditionally signals the end of summer.
And thus, last week we made the last stop on this summer's "Off
the Beaten Path" golf tour, visiting perhaps the most off-the-
beaten-path course that we've been to: Wabaunsee Pines at Lake
Wabaunsee (see right).
Alas, I hate to see the tour end. Not just because it was a great
excuse for me to go out and play a lot of golf at a lot of different
courses.
OK, well there's that.
But the tour also seemed to take on a life of its own this
summer. Arguably it became one of the most popular features I've
done in my eight years at The Capital-Journal, perhaps only rivaled
by my weekly prep football picks.
