The Democratic response to Sen. John McCain's choice of Alaska
Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, as well as The Post's
criticism of his judgment in choosing her ["Mr. McCain's Choice,"
editorial, Aug. 31], has not been the least bit surprising. But
emphasizing Ms. Palin's "inexperience" will only serve to highlight
Sen. Barack Obama's short resume.
Ultimately, which is safer: Choosing a young, first-term governor
as vice president or a young, first-term senator as president?
Condescending comments about the size of Ms. Palin's home town and
her lack of Washington experience will only strengthen the view of
ordinary Americans that she understands their lives better than some ...
