Canada's Conservative Party to win election: poll
OTTAWA, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Canada's ruling Conservative Party
will gain victory in an election, with an edge of 10 percentage
point support over the Liberal Party, according to a new poll
released Thursday.
The survey, conducted by Environics between Friday and Tuesday
for national broadcaster Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC),
found that 38 percent of Canadians would vote for the Conservative
party if an election were held immediately.
By comparison, 28 percent would vote for the Liberal party, 19
percent for the New Democratic Party (NDP), 8 percent for the Bloc
Quebecois and 7 percent for the Green Party.
