Article: Entergy passes halfway point in restoring power

Entergy Corp. utilities has surpassed the halfway point in its restoration to customers who lost power due to Hurricane Gustav, the company said. In the four days since landfall, Entergy has restored more than 553,000 customers whose power was affected by Hurricane Gustav. That's about 57 percent of the customers who lost power.

This is the fastest rate for power restoration in the company's history, Entergy officials said.
