Article: Still time to join fight for village post office

The case for keeping a post office in Abbotskerswell has taken steps forward.

Last Thursday a public meeting was held in the Church House at Abbotskerswell.

About 75 members of the public attended, to hear those addressing the meeting, which lasted almost 90 minutes.

There were two representatives from Post Office Ltd, one from Postwatch, parish council chairman David Munden and Richard Younger- Ross, the local MP.

Liz Taylor stressed the importance of writing to the Post Office to help to save it from closure.

She had stood outside the Model Stores in the village the Saturday before, asking people to write.
