A special sponsorship day for Teignmouth Golf Club's English international Billy Hemstock attracted more than 40 teams featuring the county's top golfers.

The Texas Scramble boasted a wide array of prizes donated by club members and local businesses, and Devon regulars Jon White, Jon Axford and Teign Valley professional Sean Mason all supported the event.

Hemstock was actively involved in the day's proceedings, starting by greeting the players on the first tee at 8am.

In the evening he hosted the prize-giving ceremony, while Teignmouth vice captain Jon Hall conducted a very successful auction of golf equipment and memorabilia.
