Two more establishments are joining the restaurant scene in Milwaukee.

Brooklyn's, a west side restaurant that Milwaukee officials are touting as an alternative to fast food, opened Friday at 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave. The table-service restaurant has a full menu, with appetizers such as chicken quesadillas, salads, sandwiches such as brisket and turkey burger, and entrees including spare ribs. Prices are around $7 to $15 for sandwiches and $12 to $15 for entrees. There's also a dessert menu and children's menu.

Brooklyn's has patio seating and a small lounge that can be reserved for private parties.
