A Royal Navy sailor from Brough was among the first to come to
the aid of a Caribbean island battered by Hurricane Gustav.
Winds of up to 135 mph smashed into the island of Grand Turk.
Hull warship HMS Iron Duke, the same vessel on which Prince
William recently had a spell, arrived at the island on Sunday.
Petty Officer Paul Tock, 38, a married father-of-two, was dropped
off by Lynx helicopter on the island to help repair a hospital.
And in a typical display of Britishness, he quickly rustled up
cups of tea and a filling meal of corn beef hash for staff and
patients.
