"A Streetcar Named Desire" is Tennessee Williams' masterpiece,
and the stunning production that opened Thursday night at the
Ephrata Performing Arts Center sure shows you why.
With an absolutely amazing performance by Kristie Ohlinger as
Blanche DuBois, this production, brilliantly directed by Ed
Fernandez, never takes a wrong turn, never lets up and never, not
even for a moment, disappoints.
We don't often see a classic play performed at this level in
Lancaster and what a joy it is to dig deep into this great work.
"Streetcar" tells the tragic story of Blanche DuBois, who looks
for refinement in the world, but only finds brutishness and
ugliness.
