Article: The public's vetting of Sarah Palin

Thorough examination

of record is needed

AS ONE of millions of Americans who

know little or nothing about Sarah Palin, I

appreciate articles like ''A forceful but

narrow agenda'' (Page A1, Sept. 7) that

discuss her actual accomplishments

without getting sidetracked by trivial

minutiae. Several things about this article

struck me forcefully.

First of all is the thinness of her resume.

Both Republicans and Democrats

cited in the article spoke to how Palin was

focused on one or two issues only and

seemed to have no policies or positions on

healthcare, education, and other issues of

great importance to most Americans.
