GORDON Strachan has branded his Celtic players as the "mongrels"
of their Champions League group but believes his squad now has the
adaptability required to improve their wretched away record in the
tournament.
Ahead of tomorrow night's opening Group E fixture against Danish
champions Aalborg at Parkhead, the Celtic manager has set his sights
on complementing his club's almost peerless home form in the
tournament with the collection of points on the road in an
intriguing section also including Champions League holders
Manchester United and Spanish League runners-up Villarreal.
Strachan is relishing the prospect of his third successive group
