A man who stabbed his best friend to death was having a fit at
the time of the attack and has no recollection of the incident, a
court heard.
David Neal, 22, has denied murdering his friend, William Moss,
21, in a Newquay bedsit but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of
diminished responsibility due to his mental health.
Truro Crown Court heard yesterday how in police interviews Neal
described himself as suffering from "episodic discontrol" which
meant he was liable to act violently and not have any memory of his
actions.
Pathological evidence before the court showed there were 17 knife
injuries to Mr Moss.
The court was told previously that Mr Moss died at the scene. A
