BEAVERCREEK -- When Von Maur opens its department store here,
industry watchers say the Davenport, Iowa-based retailer must move
quickly to establish itself and its competitors should move with
equal haste to shore up their market share.
Rebecca Surma, manager of the Beavercreek Von Maur, said the two-
story store's merchandise mix includes clothing for men, women and
children; accessories; gifts cosmetics; and jewelry. In each
category, the retailer offers goods at several price levels to
appeal to different shoppers, said Surma, who previously worked at
Von Maur's Columbus store, its only other Ohio location.
