St. James Catholic Church will revive a centuries-old Catholic
tradition this weekend.
The Rev. Joseph Totton will perform his first public Latin Mass
Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent. He said he hopes to make Latin
Mass available every Sunday at 12:30 p.m., in addition to the
church's regular Masses.
"What I envision ... I think as it's offered and people become
more aware of it, there's going to be some curiosity," he said.
"While there might not be a huge demand for it right now, I think
the availability will spur a greater interest."
The Rev. Totton said this could be the first time since 1970 that
the traditional Latin Mass has been offered on a Sunday at St.
