Bayou Bend Petroleum Ltd. today provided an update on its
production and exploration activities in the Gulf of Mexico.
- South Timbalier 49: The Smoothe Prospect has experienced delays
because of hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Crews are returning to the
site to resume operations. Plans are for the well to be 19,325 feet
deep by early December. Bayou Bend has a 33 percent working interest
in the well, and Mariner Energy Inc. is the operator.
- Mount Moran north discovery: A well test was completed on the
lowest of three zones in the Mount Moran north discovery in the
Marsh Island project area on Eugene Island Block 10. The zone was
tested on Sept. 12 at a rate of 6.4 million cubic feet per day ...
