Through programs and activities involving the South Oklahoma City
Chamber of Commerce, business and community leaders often interact
with area teenagers.
Scholarships and awards sponsored by area businesses and groups
are presented each spring at the chamber's annual Excellence in
Education banquet. Chamber members also work with area students who
work as volunteers each Labor Day weekend at the annual Oklahoma
City Arts Festival at Oklahoma City Community College.
The South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce now plans to expand
mentoring opportunities for area teenagers with a Halloween haunted
house.
